SALT LAKE CITY — Police said they’re investigating after two juveniles were injured in a drive-by shooting in Salt Lake City.
Lt. Gordon Worsencroft with the Salt Lake City Police Department said they received calls from several people around 5 p.m. Saturday about shots being fired near 600 North and 1100 West.
When officers arrived, they discovered some evidence that a shooting had taken place in the area.
“A short time after officers arrived on scene, an area hospital contacted us and said they had two victims with gunshot wounds — non-life-threatening,” said Worsencroft.
Detectives were then called out.
No other people were injured, but Worsencroft said there were reports of a house possibly being struck.
Police don’t believe the structure was a target in the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
