SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah — An 18-year-old died after a rollover crash on state Route 163 in San Juan County.
The incident happened just north of Forrest Gump Hill around 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
Officials with the Utah Department of Public Safety said a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound at an unknown speed when it left the road.
The driver was unable to get control of the car before it rolled, ejecting the 18-year-old boy.
DPS officials said life-saving measures were administered by medical personnel, but the driver didn’t survive.
Speed and drug impairment were being investigated as possible contributing factors, according to DPS.
Officials said it appears the teen was not wearing a seatbelt.
He was identified Tuesday as 18-year-old Titmus Jesse from Bountiful.
