And that’s part of the problem.
“There’s so much wilderness in Tooele and right next to his house that it’s overwhelming,” said Mariah Morris.
Morris is the sister of Rick Morris, and ever since he seemingly disappeared this past June, she and other family members have been looking for him.
“Our everyday lives are still searching and what can we do today to help,” she said.
Lots of people in Tooele are doing their best to help as well.
In the neighborhood where Morris lives, there are missing signs of him and ribbons in several yards.
The hope is to keep Morris in people’s thoughts.
There is also a big search for him planned for this Saturday.
“It means so much to us that so many people are willing to help us, and they didn’t even know Rick. They didn’t know our family,” said Mariah Morris. “They’re willing to help us in our most desperate time. It means more to us than we’ll ever be able to say.”
There is also a $10,000 reward for him now that was put out by the Utah Cold Case Coalition.
“I think the family is realistic that this may not turn out well, but they need to know what happened. They need to know where Rick is. Even if it’s bad news, they need to know,” said Karra Porter, who is with the Utah Cold Case Coalition.
His family says he loves the outdoors, computers, and was in the middle of a creating a video game.
There was a possible sighting of him heading toward Middle Canyon.
Although nothing came that tip, his family will keep looking.
It’s been almost four months since anybody has seen Rick Morris. He was last seen leaving his #Tooele home. There is now a $10,000 reward for him and a big search planned in Tooele this Saturday. We spoke with his sister and will have a story on @KSL5TV at 6. pic.twitter.com/PePCZSzOM8

“He’s probably like one of the most amazing humans that I have ever known,” said Mariah Morris.
Rick Morris is also a type I diabetic, and because of that, his family is worried he didn’t have his medicine.
They’re asking people to check any sheds or vehicles in their yard in case he went inside one of them to go to sleep.
The search for him is planned for this Saturday from 8am to 5pm.
Volunteers can show up at any time and check in at the church building off 1030 South and 900 West in Tooele.
Searchers can also pre-register here.
