Hurricane man taken to hospital after crashing his paraglider

HURRICANE, Utah — A 47-year-old man from Hurricane was seriously injured after he crashed while paragliding near the Sand Hollow Resort.
The incident happened in the area of 5200 West and 3000 South around 9 a.m. Saturday.
Officials with the Hurricane City Police Department said the man was transported to St George Hospital by ambulance.
According to the press release from police, the 47-year-old suffered at least a broken elbow and possibly a broken leg.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
