WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — One person sustained serious injuries after they were involved in a single rollover crash in West Valley City.

The incident happened near 6300 South and Mountain View Corridor around 4:40 p.m. Saturday.

Sgt. Gabe Bier with West Valley City Police Department said the car went off the road to the left, then returned to the roadway before overcorrecting to the right.

The vehicle started rolling and the driver was ejected.

The driver was then transported to the hospital in serious condition, according to police.

Bier said the roads were wet at the time, but did not say if it was a factor in the crash.

Additional details were not immediately available.
