Police raise reward amount for info on person of interest in WVC homicide

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A new reward amount has been set for information leading to the arrest of Noel Munoz Lopez, who authorities say is a person of interest in the death of an 82-year-old man in West Valley City.
According to a poster released Saturday by the West Valley City Police Department, the reward is now $8,500.

Police say Lopez, 34, is wanted for violating his parole, in addition to being a person of interest in the homicide of Farrell Bartschi.
The 82-year-old was found dead outside a home in the area of 3800 South and 4200 West on Oct. 4.
Family members say he was an innocent bystander who was shot by a complete stranger while on his morning walk.

Lopez is described as a bald man, standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, with a black beard and mustache.
