Woman identified in fatal wrong-way crash on I-70

GRAND COUNTY, Utah — Officials with the Utah Department of Public Safety have identified the wrong-way driver that was killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 70 in southeast Utah.
The victim was identified Monday as 43-year-old Jody M. Love from Ferguson, North Carolina.
The crash happened near milepost 222, nine miles west of the Utah-Colorado border, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
DPS officials said a Kia SUV was traveling the wrong direction in the westbound lanes of traffic when it struck a large box truck head-on.
Following the collision, both vehicles burst into flames.
The driver of the SUV, later identified as Love, was pronounced dead at the scene, while an unknown number of occupants in the box truck sustained serious injuries.
