LEHI, Utah — Online car dealership Carvana opened its newest car vending machine in Lehi on Wednesday.

The brick-and-glass structure can hold 27 vehicles and is eight stories tall. It’s located just off Interstate 15 at 2950 N. Triumph Way in Lehi.

“Earlier this year we debuted as-soon-as-next-day delivery in Salt Lake City, and now we’re proud to also bring our newest car vending machine to the community,” Ernie Garcia, Carvana founder and CEO, said in a press release. “We’re confident customers will embrace ‘The New Way to Buy a Car’ and the fun and excitement our newest car vending machine adds to the car buying experience.”

The vending machine is the 29th in the U.S. and the first in Utah. Additional locations are in Nevada, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Maryland, Arizona, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, California, Michigan and Georgia.

Carvana customers can pick up their car for free at the machine, which is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Customers can select a time to pick up their new vehicle, and they will receive a commemorative, oversized Carvana coin to activate the automated vending process.

“Carvana customers get a front-row seat to watch their vehicle descending through the brightly lit mountain-inspired structure from the heart of the all-glass tower,” the company said in a press release.

The company was founded in 2012 and is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
