RICHFIELD, Utah — Officers with the Richfield Police Department and wildlife crews were able to remove a bear that was found in a tree Monday morning.
Utah Division of Wildlife Resources public information officer Faith Jolley said a resident located the bear around 7 a.m. in the area of 100 East and 280 South.
DWR biologists were able to hit the bear with a tranquilizer dart and lowered her down from the tree into a trap barrel.
Crews said the bear will be relocated after it’s evaluated. No injuries were reported to crews or the bear during the incident.
