One killed in Salt Lake City crash

SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead after a car crashed into a tree, according to officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Officers responded to the crash near 3300 West and 2100 South around 7 a.m. Friday.
Police said both directions of the frontage road, which runs along the north side of state Route 201, will be closed from 3200 West to 3500 West while the Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team is on scene.
No cause for the crash has been released.
Police have not released the victim’s name but said he appears to be in his 20s.
