UTAH COUNTY, Utah — A woman has been rescued after spending two hours stuck in the mud in Provo Bay.
The 19-year-old woman was with her father when their boat got stuck. She got out to try to push it loose when she got stuck herself in about 3 feet of mud, police say.
Sgt. Spencer Cannon with Utah County Sheriff’s Office said they respond to an incident like this occasionally in that area.
Cannon said the woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance and is expected to be OK. The only concern is hypothermia.
Crews used an airboat to get her out and worked to get the boat out as well.
