Lake Point fire injures one occupant

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — Fire crews responded to a 2-alarm fire that injured one person.
North Tooele Fire District & Grantsville City Fire responded to a structure fire on Center Street in Lake Point around 4 p.m. Sunday.
Chief Randy Willden for North Tooele Fire District told KSL TV multiple witnesses called in reporting smoke and flames from the windows.
Willden said 3 people live in the affected home, only one was home and was taken to the University of Utah Burn Center for injuries.
While the cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said the occupant initially attempted to put the fire out themselves.
Willden said the home is probably a total loss.
