Suspected car thieves collide with another car, hit home

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Two men who allegedly stole a car in West Valley City collided with another car and then crashed into a home.

According to police, the incident started Wednesday afternoon as the men, in their 20’s and reportedly unarmed, approached a woman who was working in her car at a parking lot.

They told her to give them her car, which she did.

Police said they drove off from the parking lot and collided with another car. The crash sent the stolen car careening into a home on the 3800 block of South Cheryl St.

One person from the second car went to the hospital.

Police were searching for the car thieves who ran from the crash.

Police said the woman whose car was stolen managed to get cell phone video of the suspects as they drove off.
