Gun recovered from West High lockdown incident

SALT LAKE CITY– Salt Lake City Police announced that their resource officers had recovered the gun from the West High lockdown that occurred Monday.

We have an update on this case. Our School Resource Officers have recovered the gun used in this incident. Our investigation with @slcschools is ongoing and we have no additional details to release.

The lockdown happened just after 10:50 on Monday after there were reported threats to the school. Throughout the day, police announced updates and detained three students involved in the threat.

There are no additional updates at this time.
