EMERY COUNTY, Utah — One person has died after a two-car crash in Emery County.
The incident happened near mile post 154 just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officials with the Utah Department of Public Safety said a red Kenworth — which was pulling an oversized gas field specialty trailer — was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70.
A white Kenworth with double trailers, which was being driven by an unidentified woman, was also in the same area.
According to the man who was operating the red Kenworth, he was traveling at 55 miles per hour with lights and flashers on when the white Kenworth crashed into the back of his trailer, then left the roadway.
The woman who was driving that vehicle died on impact, according to DPS.
Her name has not been released, pending family notification.
