Earthquake hits outside Zion National Park

SPRINGDALE, Utah- A minor earthquake struck Tuesday afternoon outside Zion National Park. The earthquake had a 3.6 magnitude as recorded by University of Utah Seismograph Stations and hit just after 3:50 p.m.

No injuries or damages have been reported. According to the U’s report, “The earthquake was felt in Hurricane and the surrounding area. A total of 8 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater have occurred within 16 mi of the epicenter of this event since 1962.”
