One arrested in SLC voyeurism case involving a child
SALT LAKE CITY — Police say a suspect who was wanted in connection to a child voyeurism investigation has been arrested.
Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said a tip from a community member helped detectives with their Special Victims Unit identify and safely arrest the suspect in this case.
Police did not release any further details about their investigation.
The investigation began around 10 p.m. Sunday in the area of 700 North and 900 West after authorities said patrol officers were called out after receiving reports of a suspicious circumstance involving a gun.
“Officers responded and determined there was no gun crime. However, officers learned through their investigation, an unknown male was seen looking through the window of an apartment while a child was undressing,” SLCPD officials said Tuesday afternoon.
Officers said the man ran from the scene after he was confronted by someone in the community.
