SPRINGVILLE, Utah — Five units of a Springville storage center were damaged by a fire that broke out overnight.
Chief Lance Haight of the Springville Police Department said they received a call shortly after 2 a.m. that a storage center in the area of 1750 West and Center Street was on fire.
While firefighters were responding, they could see it was a “significant fire,” so other fire departments were called out.
Once on scene, crews found two of the storage units were completely engulfed in flames.
Haight said they entered the units by cutting the doors open.
“Took us quite a long time to put the fire out,” he said.
Crews determined which units the fire started in, but a cause has not been identified.
Five units in total were affected by the blaze.
Fortunately, Haight said no civilians or firefighters were injured.
“It had probably been on fire for some time before we were notified,” he said.
