Cache County announces registration for Wood Stove and Fireplace Conversion Program

CACHE COUNTY, Utah—The Wood Stove and Fireplace Conversion Assistance Program has opened registration to replace fireplaces or wood stoves with a natural gas, propane fueled, or electric appliance. Cache County residents can register starting at 6 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2022.
The program was created in an effort to help reduce wintertime pollution typically caused by wood burning. Developed by the Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Division of Air Quality (DAQ), and is targeted at counties with poor air quality.
Homeowners interested can see eligibility and register here from Jan.10 at 6:00 a.m. to Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
