Thousands without power in south Salt Lake valley

RIVERTON, Utah — Nearly 10,000 are reportedly without power due to outages in Bluffdale, Herriman, Riverton, and South Jordan tonight.

Rocky Mountain Power tweeted acknowledging the large power outage.

We are aware of the large power outage impacting customers in Bluffdale, Herriman, Riverton & South Jordan. Crews have been dispatched to investigate/repair. The ETR is 11:30 pm. To report an outage, text OUT to 759677 or visit https://t.co/5KJ7zd0MQ1

Their website listed 9,786 affected customers as of 9 p.m. Wednesday.

RMP anticipates power will be restored by midnight.
