Amidst a bus driver shortage, Jeff Haney, Director of Communications for Canyons School District confirmed there were 22 school bus driver call outs Monday.
The worst part? Haney said, “It’s not out of the ordinary.”
Haney said since school resumed after the holidays, at least 15-20 bus drivers have called out sick each day. He included that at one point up to 24 in one day have called out.
The timing of the call outs coincides with a surge of omicron cases across the state.
