Stranded hiker rescued near Bountiful Peak

BOUNTIFUL PEAK, Utah — A 32-year-old hiker, who called the Davis County Sheriff’s Office to report he was stranded near Bountiful Peak Wednesday night, has been rescued and is “in good condition.”
After deploying ATVs and snowmobiles, Davis County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue ultimately opted to use a DPS Star 9 helicopter to find the man, who told authorities he was unable to get off the mountain without assistance. The sheriff’s office noted that the hiker was tired but “otherwise in good condition.”
