23-year-old woman taken by helicopter in serious condition after car accident

TOOELE, Utah—Two women are in the hospital, one in serious condition after a collision on Utah Avenue in Tooele, Utah.

According to Sgt. Cutler with Tooele City Police, a 23-year-old driving a black Charger crashed into a 28-year-old female driving a red Hyundai that was traveling on Utah Avenue. The driver of the Charger was transferred to a local hospital with non-serious injuries.

The driver of the red Hyundai was trapped and had to be extracted and airlifted to the University of Utah Hospital in serious condition from injuries sustained in the crash.

Police said there was no impaired driving involved.
