SALT LAKE CITY— A woman was arrested Wednesday for obstruction of justice in connection to the murder of Blaire Leavitt according to a release from police.
The woman was one of the six suspects identified previously on Feb. 15. She was identified as 36-year-old Lachelle Fiefia.
The investigation began over two years ago when police responded to a call and found Leavitt with a gunshot wound in her Redwood Road apartment. She was transported the hospital but passed away before she could undergo surgery.
According to the release, Fiefia was one of several people who were at Leavitt’s apartment the night she was killed and states, “After Ms. Leavitt had been shot, Fiefia willingly drove two of the men involved in the homicide to Oakland, California, despite knowing they had been involved in Ms. Levitt’s murder, according to court documents.”
Fiefia will be booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on one count of felony obstruction of justice.
