Troopers searching for driver who left scene of crash on I-215

MILLCREEK, Utah — Utah Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a person who they say left the scene of a crash on Interstate 215 Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened in the area of I-215 East at 3500 South.
UHP Troopers are investigating an accident in the area of I-215 E at 3500 South, southbound. Troopers are looking for an individual that fled the scene. Avoid the area if possible. The investigation could last at least an hour.

According to an update at 7:30 p.m., the right lanes are still closed in the southbound direction, including the 3900 South off-ramp.
“Troopers are continuing to look for the driver who caused the crash,” read the tweet.
Update on I-215 East. Right lanes remain closed southbound to include 3900 So. Off Ramp. Two cars involved, no injuries. Troopers are continuing to look for the driver who caused the crash.

Troopers say two cars were involved in the crash and no injuries were reported.
The public has been asked to avoid the area, if possible, while the investigation continues.
