UHP Sgt. J. Dutson told KSL the call came in around 5:30 p.m. of a wrong-way driver hitting several vehicles and a semi-truck.
According to a press release from the Utah Department of Public Safety, a Dodge Journey crossed over the double yellow lines and hit an oncoming semi-truck head-on. The Dodge then hit another car before continuing even further, eventually crashing into a concrete wall.
Just before 6:30 p.m., the Utah Department of Transportation said the southbound I-15 exit to eastbound US-6 had also been closed.
Both directions of traffic reopened by 10 p.m. Saturday.
