One person killed in second wrong-way fatal crash this weekend

SALT LAKE CITY – One person died in a wrong-way crash Saturday night near 6800 South Mountain View Corridor.
It was the second fatal wrong-way crash in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Unified Police said a silver Kia was headed southbound in the northbound lanes when it hit a white Volkswagen head-on.
The crash happened around 11:15 pm.
The 29-year-old driver of the Kia, who was later identified as Michael Jordan, of West Valley City, died at the scene, according to Detective Kevin Mallory from the Unified Police Department.
Police investigating after three killed in four wrong-way crash over weekend
The Volkswagen driver was hurt but the injuries were not life-threatening.
The crash closed Mountain View Corridor for several hours.
It was the third fatality reported because of a wrong-way crash Saturday.
In the early morning, two people died in a head-on crash on I-15.
One car was traveling southbound on the northbound lanes near 900 South.
Both drivers died.
