Man arrested after punching officer at Salt Lake International Airport

SALT LAKE CITY — A 32-year-old man was arrested Saturday after allegedly punching an officer at the Salt Lake International Airport.
Court documents state two officers were walking through the lobby when John Dane Baydo came up from behind and punched one of them on the right side of his face.
The two officers — identified as Officer Orgill and Officer Smith — contained Baydo, took him to the ground and arrested him.
“Officer Orgill has noticeable swelling and bruising on his face from the strike,” read the probable cause statement.
Police said Baydo was mute the entire time and did not offer a reason as to why he attacked.
The 32-year-old was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of assault.
