BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah — Two people called for help Sunday night after they got stuck on a big rock near the S curves in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Det. Kevin Mallory with the Unified Police Department said this is not a search because police know where the hikers are given that they have headlamps on.
No injuries have been reported.
Mallory said the two are just having a hard time getting off the rock due to the wet weather.
A ladder truck was initially brought in, but Mallory said it may not be tall enough to get the hikers down.
UPD and the Unified Fire Authority are responding.
