UPDATE: Silver Alert canceled after authorities find South Ogden man
UPDATE: James Buchanan has been located at a Maverik in South Weber, according to Sgt. Curt Ricks with the South Ogden Police Department. He was found in good health, but was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
SOUTH OGDEN, Utah — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 75-year-old man from Weber County.
According to the Silver Alert, James Buchanan was last seen at South Ogden Post-Acute, located at 5540 South and 1050 East, around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Buchanan is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 175 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
He was reportedly last seen wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
The 71-year-old has dementia and is Type 2 diabetic, according to the alert.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts has been asked to call the South Ogden Police Department at 801-395-8221.
