Lori Vallow Daybell pleads not guilty to first-degree murder charges

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho — Lori Vallow Daybell pleaded not guilty to all charges she is facing in connection to the deaths of JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan and Tammy Daybell.
Lori Vallow Daybell appeared at her arrangement hearing Tuesday afternoon, where she did not respond to any of the charges. Her attorney entered into the not guilty pleas on her behalf.

Nothing from Lori on charges. Attorney enters not guilty plea on her behalf for all charges. She does not waive right to speedy trial. Judge says it would likely happen within 6 months, mid-october

Charges Lori Vallow Daybell is facing
- JJ Vallow — first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit destruction, conceal or alter evidence
- Tylee Ryan — first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit destruction, conceal or alter evidence
- Tylee and JJ — solicitation, resisting and/or obstructing an officer, contempt
- Tammy Daybell — conspiracy to commit murder
- Grand theft
Judge Steven Boyce said her trial would likely take place within six months, or mid-october.
Earlier in the day, Vallow Daybell’s husband Chad Daybell was at a motion hearing to decide whether or not the capital punishment case will be moved to Boise, Idaho, in Ada County, or remain in Fremont County.
Lori Vallow Daybell was found competent to stand trial on April 11. Boyce previously ordered a stay in the case against Daybell on May 27, 2021, when she was found “not competent” to stand trial following a mental health evaluation.
