According to Unified Fire Authority’s PIO Aaron Lance, multiple crews responded to the large bush fire around 7 PM next to the I-80 in Magna.
The fire started between Frontage Road and the Great Salt Lake near the marina in the area.
No structures were threatened by the fire, according to Lance. And no injuries were reported.
The fire burned around 120 acres.
The only traffic that was affected is on Frontage Road.
Lance hinted that this might be a long night for his crews as they are making sure the fire is out.
He also believes that this was human caused but no arrests have been made.
