IRON COUNTY, Utah — A motorcyclist died after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail Saturday afternoon, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
State troopers said the 56-year-old man was driving eastbound on state Route 20 near Paragonah and made a sharp turn.
The man failed the turn, which caused him to tip and separate from his motorcycle.
Both the bike and the man slid into the guardrail.
Troopers said even though the man was wearing a helmet, he died on the scene from the impact.
The road was closed for about an hour.
