Bicyclist dead after colliding with a semi in Spanish Fork

SPANISH FORK, Utah – A 49-year-old man was killed after he collided with a semi-truck in Spanish Fork while riding his bicycle, according to police.
In the press release from Spanish Fork police, they responded to the accident on Canyon Creek Parkway and Highway 6 at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Witnesses told police that the semi was turning and attempting to get on Highway 6.
That’s when the bicyclist got on the crosswalk, ran into the semi, got knocked off the bike, and ran over by the truck.
Police said he was sent to the hospital but passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the semi is working with police.
