Suspect arrested for robbery at Salt Lake airport

SALT LAKE CITY – One man is in police custody after hitting a woman and attempting to steal her bag at the Salt Lake International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
According to arresting documents, Donald Bandy, 38, was in a “violent heated rage” when the victim and her friend were at a shuttle stop in the airport parking lot.
Bandy hit the victim multiple times and tried to take her shoulder bag from her before fleeing without the bag.
Police shortly found Bandy, and the victim identified him. Security footage collaborated the events that she told police.
Bandy was booked for robbery.
