SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah – South Salt Lake Animal Services are trying to save a puppy’s life after being thrown out a car window on Friday.
According to Kevin Hansen of the shelter, a bystander saw 2-month-old “Malin” thrown from a moving car at 3300 S 300 W and walked her to the vet.
The shelter named her Malin because it means “warrior” or “strong, little warrior.”
She has two broken legs, two fractured ribs, and a punctured lung. Malin needs about six to ten thousand dollars for her surgery.
“If we don’t get enough donations to take care of it, unfortunately, we would just have to have the dog put down,” Hansen said.
The shelter said that Malin is eating and breathing without help, but her recovery could take a while.
There is no information on who threw Malin out the window.
If you wish to donate, you can go to the shelter’s website.
