‘Star Wars Celebration’ showcases new projects, teases upcoming shows, and reveals release window for ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3

ANAHEIM, California – This weekend, thousands of Star Wars fans crowded the Anaheim convention center for “Star Wars Celebration.”
As fans shared their love for the galaxy far, far away, a few announcements show that it’s closer than we think.
The convention kicked off on Thursday with the teaser for the Disney Plus series “Andor.” It follows rebel spy Cassian Andor five years before the events of “Rogue One.” The show is set for an August 31, 2022, release.

“The Mandalorian” season three also got a release window of February 2023 with the announcement of a new series, “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” featuring Jude Law.

On Friday, the sequel to the “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” video game was announced, “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.” It’s slated for a 2023 release.

They also announced an animated series called “Young Jedi Adventures,” set years before the prequels in the High Republic era coming Spring 2023.

Saturday, the live-action “Ahsoka” show was teased revealing the actor who will play Sabine Wren from 2014’s animated series “Star Wars Rebels.”
Another animated show was announced called “Tales of the Jedi.” It will focus on Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku before he turns to the dark side in “Attack of the Clones.” It will release in Fall 2022.

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” season two also got its release window for Fall 2022.

And the anime series “Star Wars: Visions” is getting a second season slated for a Spring 2023 window.

The convention also showed off the first image of “Indiana Jones 5” and the first trailer for the “Willow” TV series, which is the sequel to Geroge Lucas’s 1988 film, “Willow.”

There are many more announcements from the convention like the Switch port of “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords” (with “The Sith Lords Restored Content DLC” coming later on), new characters at Disney’s “Galaxy’s Edge” theme park, Star Wars comics, and documentaries that you can check out on the official Star Wars website.
And because the new Disney Plus series, “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” is now out, here is the voice actor for Darth Maul screaming his nemesis name to the fans.
