MOAB, Utah — A trailer caught on fire, causing six mobile homes to be lost, according to fire crews.
EMS Director of Grand County Andy Smith said the fire started in the afternoon at the Pack Creek Campground in Moab.
Multiple homes were fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, with six considered to be a complete loss.
The campground was evacuated and sheltered at a nearby bowling alley.
Smith said they were worried about the fire spreading into the creek bed nearby but were able to contain the spread.
Besides some minor smoke inhalation, no injuries were reported.
The Red Cross is helping those displaced from the fire.
Investigators are looking into how the fire started from the trailer.
