Thief catches on fire while allegedly attempting to steal gas

SALT LAKE CITY — An alleged gas thief caught on fire while attempting to steal gas from a company truck.
Summit Fire & Security said a man drilled a hole from one of their trucks over the weekend.
In the video sent to KSL TV, the man was underneath the company truck while another possible suspect sat in their own pickup truck.
While the man was underneath the company truck, his shirt caught on fire, and he rolled around the parking lot, taking off his shirt.
The man got into the pickup truck with the other suspect and drove away.
Meanwhile, the company truck had flames underneath it.
Summit Fire & Security said this is an arson and theft investigation.
KSL TV contacted Salt Lake City police for a comment on this incident.
