HELPER, Utah — Two people were hospitalized after two large rocks crashed through the windshield of their SUV Sunday night.
Officials with the Helper Fire Department said crews arrived at the scene around 8:30 p.m. and extricated the couple from the vehicle.
They were transported to Castleview Hospital for further treatment; no update on their conditions had been provided as of Monday morning.
Firefighters said heavy rain hit the area Sunday morning and loosened rocks that have fallen onto U.S. Highway 6. They urged drivers to use caution and slow down while driving in the area.
