CEDAR CITY, Utah — A mountain biker needed help after getting hurt on a trail Saturday morning near Cedar City.
According to Iron County search and rescue crews, they received a call from a biker who had a broken collarbone and “other injuries” at the Boulder Dash Trail.
Crews dispatched and found the biker walking 100 yards down the trail.
He was assessed, stabilized and transported to a local hospital.
Iron County search and rescue would like to remind the public that if you are injured on a trail and call rescue crews, stay near where you called.
Dispatchers lock the GPS of the call and send it to rescue crews so they can find you.
If you move from the original call area, crews will have difficulty finding you and providing assistance.
