Ogden man competing on American Ninja Warrior
OGDEN, Utah — A Utah native is competing on the show American Ninja Warrior, highlighting a milestone in a journey years in the making.
Ogden resident Mark Farrell will take the stage on American Ninja Warrior, which can be seen on KSL TV Monday at 7 p.m.
Farrell said even making it to this point is a huge accomplishment as anywhere from 50,000 to 70,000 videos are sent in by athletes trying to make a run on the show.
After nine years of hard work training, plus transitioning into a new office job, Farrell, aka Ninja Beta 2.0. got picked to go on the show.

“Whenever I compete, I literally ‘bring that noise!'” said Farrell. “It was time to bring, and just screaming all the way down the course.”
He said his life centers around training as a ninja warrior.
“I play soccer to be a better ninja. I climb to be a better ninja. I’m literally obsessed,” said Farrell.
It’s special to him, especially when he remembers how many real-life obstacles he’s overcome.
“I actually smoked for like, 12, 13 years. I was like, ‘You know what? I wanna do what these guys do.’ Watched the show, and I quit smoking. Lost a bunch of weight,” said Farrell.
