Man arrested for crashing into parked car after doing donuts

SALT LAKE CITY — A man is in police custody after crashing his car into another car and fleeing from police early Wednesday morning.
According to Salt Lake City police, 20-year-old Devion Wormly was “doing donuts” at the 400 East 700 South intersection when he crashed into a parked car around 12:47 a.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they spoke to Wormly about the crash, but he fled from them during their investigation.
A 20-year-old man accused of operating his car in a reckless & dangerous manner by doing donuts & then running away from officers after crashing his car into another car has been arrested.

Police set up containment in the area with K9 units to assist. They found Wormly near 208 E 800 South and took him into custody without further incident.
Wormly was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail for:
- failing to stop at the command of a police officer,
- interfering with a police officer,
- failing to remain at the scene of an accident,
- and driving on the left of the road when prohibited.
