LEHI, Utah — State troopers say one person has died in a crash on southbound Interstate 15.

Trooper Mikki Vargas with the Utah Highway Patrol said a semi-truck was stopped in the right emergency lane before the 2100 North exit in Lehi when a Honda Civic crashed into the back of the truck.

The driver of the Civic died on scene.

Vargas said troopers are investigating to see why the Civic left its lane before the crash.

The exit lane for the 2100 North exit will be closed while emergency crews are on scene.
