Sgt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol told KSL a semi-truck hauling household appliances overturned, blocking all of the northbound lanes.
The driver was in critical condition, according to Roden, and was taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
Troopers suspect he fell asleep, ran off the road to the right and rolled as he was coming back on the road.
Roden said the right lane opened just after 7 a.m., but the left lane is still closed.
