Two injured in head-on crash in Box Elder County

CORRINE, Utah — Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision on state Route 13 Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said both directions of S.R. 13 are closed at 2800 West — about 1 mile west of Interstate 15.

One driver, who was identified as a 34-year-old woman, was airlifted to an area hospital in critical condition. The other driver, a 41-year-old man, was seriously injured.

Both drivers were extricated from their cars.

No cause for the crash has been released and Roden said lanes will be closed for another hour or two.
