Community hopes Country Fan Fest will boost local economy
TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — Thousands are expected to roll through Tooele County this weekend as Country Fan Fest is underway.
Jim Gist, chief advisor for Gist Consulting, said the festival expects roughly 35,000 people over the weekend.
“It’s amazing. We build a little city overnight,” Gist said.

All that extra foot traffic means extra business for the local mom and pop Nigh-Time Donuts.
“We’ve been super slammed,” said Lacy Fors, owner of Nigh-Time Donuts.
To help keep up with the demand, bakers are upping the number of donuts they’ll be making from 112 dozen to about 175 dozen. That’s around 800 extra donuts.
Normally, they’re making around 112 dozen donuts.
This week? 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩
How about 175 dozen?!

Back at Country Fan Fest, things are gearing up for the weekend.
“So, when acts are done over here, acts will start over there, vice versus. And the after party goes back to the campground until 2 or 3 in the morning. That all starts back up the next day!” Gist said.
