SALT LAKE CITY — Inflation is higher than it has been in 40 years. The Federal Reserve is trying to curb that growth by increasing interest rates. And for the second straight quarter the country’s GDP shrunk, sparking more fears of a recession. This week, a financial expert and the chief economist at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute explain how we got here, what the impacts are, and where we could be headed.
