UPDATE: Detectives assigned to the SLCPD’s Robbery and Violent Crimes Squad have identified the woman and have confirmed she is safe, according to a Monday evening update from the agency.
Police said assistance from the public is no longer required.
“Because there is no known criminal nexus to this case, no additional information is being released.”

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman involved in a “suspicious circumstance” in Salt Lake City.
Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said they received information about the incident at approximately 3:20 p.m. Monday.
“To help with the ongoing investigation, the woman’s identity is needed,” read a Monday evening press release from SLCPD.

Detectives assigned to the SLCPD’s Robbery and Violent Crimes Squad are investigating.
Anyone with information about the woman’s identity has been asked to call 801-799-3000 and reference case number 22-162758.
“Due to the ongoing investigation, there is no additional information that can be released at this time,” the release concluded.
