PARK VALLEY, Utah — A home in Park Valley was destroyed over the weekend after a fire broke out.
Crews responded to the home at approximately 10:12 a.m. Sunday.
Officials with the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department said when crews arrived, there were visible flames coming from the residence.
Fortunately, the person who rents the house was not home at the time and there were no injuries.
“The fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to be caused by faulty wiring in the attic,” read a Sunday afternoon Facebook post from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department.
The house is a total loss.
